Colossians | A Vision for Your Life

Held Together-v13.png

What is God's vision for your life and how does your view of Jesus affect your future? In Colossians 3:1-11, Paul encourages us to look up to Jesus, look in to our idol-loving hearts, and look out to love our neighbors.

  • Look Up: Your vision of Jesus will define the vision of your life.

  • Look In: The biggest threat to living out the vision for your life is idolatry.

  • Look Out: Our vision of Jesus results in loving our neighbor.

  1. What is your vision of Jesus? Share some stories from the gospels that have been especially captivating to you recently. What about these stories have captivated your vision of Jesus?

  2. What or who defines who you are? Do you feel like Jesus is just an accessory to your life or the one who defines your life?

  3. What are you tempted to hold onto in times of stress? What might God be revealing about your heart? How is God inviting you to order your affections?

  4. What has been your gut response to people lately? If that gut response has been frustration, or anger why do you think that is?

  5. How might Jesus be inviting you to see those around you, even if they are incredibly different from you? (If time permits, read the parable of the good Samaritan as a reminder of the radical love we are to show our neighbors)
