Next Steps

Whether you are just starting your journey, or have been walking a while, there's always a next step to take.
4 More

Finding a church home can be tough, especially if you only visit once or twice. Therefore, we encourage you to stay for “4 More”! As you commit to attending consistently for four weeks, you will have the chance to experience differences in our gatherings such as hearing different preachers, music teams, and meeting different people – giving you a better feel for how we operate. More importantly, it gives us a chance to get to know you! So please also stay for a free donut and a drink after our gatherings. By the end of four weeks, you will be better informed and closer to knowing if Mercy Commons is the right place for you.

"Just Looking"

Newcomers Lunch
This is an opportunity for more facetime with Mercy Commons leaders, as well as a chance to meet and connect with other newcomers like yourself. You will find out a little more about our church's history and its present endeavours, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask a question or two. But there is no pressure at all, as this is a low-key no-commitment social where you literally have permission to “just look” around.

Membership Class

Anyone is welcome to attend Mercy Commons. In fact, you don’t even have to be a disciple of Jesus to do so! But because of that inclusivity (anyone can be an attender), we also need to be clear on what it means to be a member. Even though every member is an attender, not every attender is a member. To call oneself a member is to meet certain measurable criteria – such as participating in Jesus’ mission through generosity, service and a commitment to community. In that sense, partnering with us in that way is more exclusive. If you’d like to take that next step, consider signing up for our next Membership Class where these expectations are fleshed out in greater detail.
