Colossians | From Narrative to Substance

Held Together-v13.png

We are made in the image of God, in the image of this Word made flesh. The book of Revelation tells us that the saints overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony – holding fast to the story of who Jesus is –and what He has done for us, a story of absolute substance.

Life Group Questions

  1. What is the foundational story that motivates Paul throughout his ministry?

  2. What narratives do you encounter throughout the week? In what ways do they distort the story of Jesus?

  3. Spend some time thinking about what narratives drive you. We are creatures of our culture, so we are bound to take on some ideas from culture. How is Jesus inviting you to reshape those narratives?

  4. What does it look like for you in this next week to meditate upon the reality of Jesus rather than maybe ideas about him? How might reflecting on this impact your interactions with others?
